Switched off

About Switched Off

Switched off is a blog I’m using as a space to do some recreational writing mostly about video games.  Expect opinions about a wide variety of gaming topics, from the games I’m playing, stuff in the news, to other random thoughts that cross my mind.  You can also expect the odd personal rant, because as will eventually become evident, I am an angry person from time to time.

The second purpose of switched off is to be a testing ground for my web coding and SEO skills.  So if you come here and everything is broken, it means something has gone gorribly wrong.  On the contrary if you’ve come here because you saw this blog on the firts page of Google, then my job is done – hope you find something you like.

My gaming history is primarily modern, having got started on my parent’s 286 playing a crazy Clue know off text adventure, and more Tetris than anyone should.  That evolved into numerous 2d platformers ported from the consoles, and eventually into the 3d era with Wolfenstein 3d and Quake 1.  I got into consoles with the PS1 in 99, and it’s all gone downhill from there.  I’ve never owned a Nintendo console, and if things keep up as they are I never will because waggle controls just aint my thang.  Check out my GamerDNA for more info, I’ll get it up to date one of these days.

When I’m not playing games I’m either working, watching anime, or generally geeking out in one way or another.
